Hardball Heroes begins 1937 offseason!

With renewed enthusiasm, the owners in Hardball Heroes begin preparations for the 1938 season tomorrow, Thursday, March 26. League awards have been handed out in each league and the league is three sim days from salary arbitration hearings. The offseason schedule looks as follows:

Thursday, 3/25 - Pre-arbitration sim #1 (1 day)
Friday, 3/26 - Pre-arbitration sim #2 (1 day)
Saturday, 3/27 - Pre-arbitration sim #3 (1 day)
Sunday, 3/28 - Salary Arbitration sim/Free agents declare sim
Monday, 3/29 - Advance to January 23, 1938 to begin offseason free agent season

Hardball Heroes Under New Management!

In what was a shocking announcement a few days ago, Hardball Heroes temporarily closed down all league offices and operations, distressing many people who found this league to be one of the finest leagues in the online simulation baseball world. A true test of a league's greatness is its ability to proceed through adversity.

It is with this and great joy that Hardball Heroes announces that the league will reopen and continue in its current format. The league leadership will change and the league will operate under new Commissioner, Dan Stamey.

With the exception of some minor rules changes such as sim schedule and how the league will conduct amateur drafts, HH will remain as is. It was the hard work of its founder...read more.

It's finally here! Opening Day! The first series of games have been played, and at 9:45 PM Eastern, you can download the results and find out.

For any inexperienced OOTPers, all you need to do is go in to the game file, select 'Game' and then choose 'Load Online League File'. This will get you the latest file and results.

Want to see your games played out? Go to the League Schedule, and choose 'Watch Replay'. The results are hidden, so you can watch the game develop before you.

For uncontrolled teams: I set them to computer AI for a couple days, then turned it off. Some teams went into Opening Day with 8 players on the roster, and this will never do. Each te...read more.

Opening Day file available - First games tonight - Game of the Week?

Hey guys,

Apologies for the slight delay on providing the Opening Day file. The FTP server was mis-behaving today. But it's up now, although the website might not be updated until mid-afternoon.

Opening Day is Tonight! Whether there is a Game of the Week or not, I'm simming 4 days tonight so we can be on a Monday to Sunday schedule afterward, which basically has us playing 2 series each sim.
